In celebration of National Women's History Month, She Said. She Led. She Is. we honored extraordinary Doctors and Registered Nurses for their contribution in the fight against COVID-19 at our annual Extraordinary Women Making History Awards Reception. Here in Houston, we are pretty fortunate to have a host of dynamic women making history. From serving the community as elected officials, to public servants leading government departments, board chairs serving powerful organizations, presidents and CEO’s leading influential non-profit organizations, to leaders of procurement and supplier diversity in major organizations.

On a daily basis, these honorees are leading the charge to ensure that of the more than a billion dollars awarded yearly, small, minority and women-owned businesses are not forgotten. They represent two of the best aspects of Houston: it’s diversity and it’s potential to thrive through economic opportunity. It’s important that we honor those who work behind the scenes to change the economic landscape of the fourth largest city in America.
